Description: Recently we picked up Mist from her racing kennel. She turned 5 years old on July 6th, and is just the cutest little thing. Mist raced in 16 races at Palm Beach greyhound track but never won a race. Her registered name is “Atascocita Mist.” All of the pups in her litter were named for “weather”--maybe her breeder was watching the Weather Channel at pup-naming time. Besides Mist, there is also Cloud, Dust, Fire, Heat, Quake and Rain. Mist seems easy going and laid back, a typical greyhound couch potato. She gets along fine with the other greys in her foster home, and has tested cat and small dog friendly. She is doing very well in the house, but still doesn't understand what that weird thing called a “squeaky toy” is. Mist hops right into the car and loves to ride. She walks quietly by your side while on a leash, and loves to go for walks in the park. Description: Vanessa finished her racing career after 78 races at the Naples/Fort Myers track, where she was known as “Nimby Vanessa.” She won 6 races, but wasn't really fast enough to continue racing. Vanessa is now ready for her new career as a pampered pet. Vanessa is a pretty white and black girl who has done very well in her foster home where she lives with several other greyhounds. She is laid back and quiet, likes to go for car rides, loves treats, and is just learning about toys. Vanessa has tested small dog and cat friendly, and should do well in just about any environment. Description: Dinah's racing name was “Kay V Witt Act.” She raced in only 16 races at Tri-State Greyhound Park in West Virginia, but was an “A” racer before losing interest in chasing the lure. Dinah is pretty small for a greyhound, about 57 lbs. She is a beauty and as you can probably tell from her expression, has loads of personality. Dinah was living with another greyhound and loved to play with him in her fenced yard. She also loves to chase anything that moves, including squirrels or the family cat. She is very loving and should make a super pet.
